Our Core Values
Our History
Garissa Nursing Home was founded in 2010 with a vision to transform healthcare in Garissa County, a region where access to quality medical services was often limited. Born out of a deep commitment to serve the people of Garissa, our founders—local healthcare professionals and community leaders—recognized the need for a facility that could offer compassionate, affordable, and professional care close to home. What began as a modest clinic with a handful of staff and a few beds has grown into a cornerstone of health and wellness for the region.
Our journey has been shaped by partnerships with the Ministry of Health Kenya, the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), and, more recently, the Social Health Authority (SHA) under the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF). These collaborations have enabled us to make healthcare accessible to more people, integrating national health goals with our local mission. Over the years, we’ve also built strong ties with private insurance providers, such as Jubilee and AAR, enhancing our ability to serve a diverse patient base without compromising quality.
